I’m so glad that you stopped by my website! I’d love for you to learn a little more about me.  I’m a therapist with 25 years of experience working with children, families and individuals in mental health and school settings.  I understand the importance of how mental health issues affect the daily lives of children and teens.  My approach includes utilizing play therapy techniques to help kids express their thoughts and feelings in a safe atmosphere.  I use interventions based on Theraplay® principles when nurturing and attachment needs are being addressed.  During sessions, we work on whole brain thinking to help kids use logic as well as emotions to respond to situations.  Additionally, I have training in integrative mental health and take a look at how diet and activity are affecting mental health, behavior, and overall well-being.  I have also completed EMDR Training: Parts 1 and 2  as well as my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training.

Parenting can be difficult and full of questions.
Are you on the right track?  Is your child’s anxiety a normal part of development or something you need assistance with?  How do you deal with meltdowns?
I offer practical solutions that are a good fit for your family. Check out my segments on my Media Appearances page for free parenting tips.  Segment 1    Segment 2

I love connecting with kids and teens and seeing the fruits of their labor!

Seeing a smiling face and hearing a success story is so rewarding.  I feel lucky to have the opportunity to make a change for a family and I take my job seriously.  As a mother myself, I know what it’s like to want the best for your child and search for solutions.

Adulthood can be full of questions too!
Working with adults to help them navigate career opportunities/needs, how to adjust to college/full time employment, and stress management/mindfulness skills is also an area in which I practice.  Issues from Anxiety, Asperger’s, and Depression often pop up at this time of life.   A different point of view can help shine a light on things you might not have considered before.

Give me a call and we can chat to see if my services are a good fit for you and your family.
My first phone call is always complimentary.
